Gum arabic is a natural, water-soluble complex mixture of polysaccharides and glycoproteins harvested from the dried sap of Acacia trees, primarily Senegalia senegal and Vachellia seyal. Also known as acacia gum (E414), it is colorless or yellowish, tasteless, and serves as a dietary fiber with prebiotic properties, as well as an emulsifier, thickener, and stabilizer in food, pharmaceutical, and industrial applications like cosmetics, printing, and textiles.
